ParticipantHey Mike,
Hope all is well out West! You missed a great event with lot’s of on-track action. You are looking at the exit of turn #1 where some of the faster karts were getting all 4 off the ground 4-8″. Right after the landing there was a chicane(sp) that was very fast and collected many racers over the 2 days of track time.
We were one of the luckier teams with Matt only bending: (1) steering column, (1) axel, and (1) brand new +$450.00 radiator just mounted on Friday. $$$$$$$$$Ouch 😯
All of our mis-haps were the work of inexperienced shifter pilots that just ran out of talent at the wrong time. We had a blast none the less.
Missed You,
And Take Care.May 30, 2007 at 7:22 pm #58156Mike Frank
ParticipantOK, thanks for the explaination Curt! From the sounds of the other posts and the pictures, I am glad I was not racing there!!!
As for out west, I am told it is great out there right now… Yes I am still here. I was all set to get moving in the next couple of weeks (building permit delays with the store pushed me back a little) but then on Friday afternoon, Hailey, one of my Great Danes (Black and White one) ran into a utility cabinet on the side of the house (full speed) and shattered her left rear knee cap. She had surgery Friday evening to wire the remaining pieces back together. The vet recommended she not move around other than to go out to the bathroom for at least the next 4 weeks, plus she will have weekly check-ups for the next 4 weeks. So until she gets cleared for the move from the vet, I am still hanging out here…
