I got my engine hot a few weeks ago and was wondering what type of damage could have been caused and if rebuilding is necessary. Its a leopard motor and has 7hours on it. It got up to 230F.
I pulled the head and exhaust and could not see any top end damage but did not tear into it any deeper so I’m not certain on the shape of the bearings and everything below the piston.
If I do rebuild can I do it myself or should I have a shop do it. If I have a shop do it who in the area does leopard rebuilds.
