InactiveNo Rich I am not talking about the CSC/IMI meeting that we have little or no input to, by the looks of some of the news items and posts written, things aparently have already been decided. I’m talking about a “DRIVERS” meeting so we in numbers can go into the CSC/IMI meeting with a list of things that that we would like our so called Racers series to do for us.
p.s. I see 176 peeks @ this post why not chime in and voice you opinion

You are too impatient; Angie is going to post our plan for the racers input to the board today. No need to call a meeting of the Huns.

ParticipantJay,
Here is your response from a parent that wants to see his kid race without prejudice from certain track owners, and possible dq’s. NO INPUT. Its a dictatorship so might as well learn to love it.

ParticipantI am almost afraid to post anything…. I have thought over my wording 100 times to try to make it just right so I don’t get yelled at! but here goes…
There is at least one thing item that will require racers to vote at the IMI/CSC Meeting scheduled for Feb 19 at IMI…. And that is to vote for some ?Racer Representatives?
The representatives will act as liaisons, keeping the communication open between the ?board? and the racers. Four representative positions are proposed. One from shifter ranks, one from tag ranks, one from the Briggs drivers, and one representing the junior classes (including Kid Karts). Racers need to be thinking about who would best represent them. The representatives should be willing to be available to talk to the racers, and be available for meetings with the CSC board ( by phone and/or in person).
The whole point is… there is work going on behind the scenes..toward making the future of the CSC better. There are some decisions that have and will be made without the input of every racer out there. Maybe it seems like some sort of “closed door” process, or maybe you just think that nothing is being done. Whatever it is, we need to address the issue, and at least be sure that the concerns of the racers are being heard. And the above is a step in that direction….
ok, have at it….

InactiveWhen I read the above comments I have to tell you i was laughing. Brad your comment on the Huns was great and Angie afraid to say anything was another.
You did it again Brad-My wife and I will be in new Orleans for the meeting second yr in a row and sell my kart will you.
My comments:
*I want a rule/marking/enforced on Newbies; get it on the race day registration form, set up the rules for it and enforce it;
*i would like strict time enforcement throughout the race day-your not on the grid lined up and ready to go you loose; no waiting; cut practice rounds; get those long pre-race meeting over quickly; get us out early
*cut the classes or run them together staggered.
*increase race laps set them for the year not vote every week on them.
*2 people teching every race day not 1
*aggressive drivers and we have some get the black flag not a warning; You give them too many breaks and they are the same people every year.
*pole sitters & all racers get one start chance if not done right they go to the tail end no second chances. Many of the racers have been racing awhile and they know-it is not a re-learned skill every year. Thanks for all your help

ParticipantOK Drivers, The beginning of this season is still a few days off. I know the weather the last few days makes it seems like we could start racing next week but, it is still a few weeks off.
The ball is now in your court. As Angie said, you WILL have a voice in some of the things being looked at to make this series a success.
You need to talk with other karters in your particular class and pick someone to represent your views.
The track owners supporting this series have responded to what you have asked for so now help them refine it and make it work.
We can sit around or we can get rolling and make our series a fun, fair and consistent experience.Rusty

Inactive??You are too impatient; Angie is going to post our plan for the racers input to the board today. No need to call a meeting of the Huns. ??
Brad the only Hun I know is the one that seen the truth last year and then still turned his back and screwed a little boy out of his Rightful Championship.
Jay I agree until we as Racers stand up for what is right and voice our opinion it will be no more than this Dictatorship Government we all live under now in this country.
Until the calls are 100% out of the hands of the ones that stand to lose or gain from the calls made we will always have conflict and bad decision making.
By the way here is a little post I found floating around on the InternetPaper Chase
It has come to our attention that some tracks around the country are getting stricter when it comes to the kid kart class, so strict that some tech inspectors are requiring the OEM gaskets that originally came with the motor be in place. In particular the ?blue-green? base gasket that comes on most C50 motors from Comer. According to Grand Products, the only importer of Comer parts in the United States, these particular gaskets are not available for sale. Their ?stock? C50 base gaskets come in two sizes (.010? & .005?) and their suggestion is to stack one of each to get close to the OEM gaskets that measures .017?. And according to TDC gaskets of California, reproducing the OEM base gaskets is impossible due to the fact the paper the original gaskets are cut from contains asbestos and is not for sale in the United States. Grand Products also informed me that there is currently litigation pending where a father was thinking of suing his local track for disqualifying his son because he did not have an OEM base gasket in place during a race. Personally I think this is a little extreme, especially since the gasket material truly is irrelevant, it is the gasket?s thickness that is important and even then only in relationship to the overall CCs of the motor. And it is the motor?s CCs which both the WKA and IKF deem pertinent when scrutinizing a motor? not the color of the gaskets. Thanks to the 3 Motor Builders and Grand Products for being bold enough to stand up and speak the truth and not base there decisions on $$$$$$$$
