The CZR/PSL Karting Team ventured to Sonoma California for the final round of the Gatorz Challenge of America’s.
The team consisted of Utah’s Austin Versteeg, Candian Gianfranco Mazafarro and Colorado’s Evan Roshak in the Mini Max division. California driver Enzo Mestre in Rotax Jr. Brazilian Felipe Fraga and Colorado’s Sabre’ Cook in Rotax Senior. Canadian Nicolas Latife was the lone driver in DD2.After 3 days of intense racing in severe rain conditions Fraga (Rotax Senior) and Latife (DD2) came away with Championships and an automatic entry into the 2011 Rotax World Finals scheduled in Dubai November 2011.
Versteeg battled hard all series long and came away with a 3rd place finish in the Championship. He now sets his sights on the final round of the Florida Winter Tour this weekend in Ocala Florida where he currently leads the point standings.
