This being our first year in the CSC, do we run rain or shine? If so, is there a specific rain tire rule? What about exposed air filters?

I don’t remember hearing about any of the events in ’05 being affected by bad weather.

    Russ,

It used to be that there would be a makeup date in the event of rain unless we were at Steamboat. Since Steamboat is off the calendar for now I would ASSUME that there will be no rain races.

Right CSC powers to be??? 8)

Street races have always been rain or shine, so I would think Greeley would be run that way?

Greeley is a rain race. In my opinion, all CSC races should be rain races. All other tours and series races are run in the rain, why not us.

This is all easy for me to say since I do not drive a kart. :sun:

I do agree Curt. But it shure seems that “our” weather around here is a little different than weather where a lot of other series run.
Our rain comes quick and hard and is often over before all the manipulation and decission making can even be completed.
I’ll keep playing it by ear. If waters in my ear I’ll either bolt some treads on or go for the cooler.

All races should be rain or shine, that is what they make rain tire’s for. I don’t think the people pulling 500+ miles are going to want to come back next weekend to makeup a race???

If you don’t run in rain, you put a lot of the developing young talent in Colorado at a serious DISadvantage if they want to compete nationally, either this year or in the future.

Run rain or shine…….we’re all real racers here….and can make the most out of our weather no matter what.

Only thing that can/should stop us is snow…….
