InactiveCRE: Distinctly different from IMI or Bandimere. Lots of natural elevation changes. Technical. Challenging. Rewarding. Hard to find – way out in the middle of nowhere. Has been cited by some as the best track on the front range. It will be eclipsed by The Track when it opens in the fall.
Grand Junction: never been there. Stacey Cook thinks it’s a damned fine track, or so I’m told.
Second Creek: Never driven it in a Kart, but it used to be the single biggest SKUSA Mt. Region race for a few years. People must have liked it. Wicked fast in a go kart. Last SKUSA Race we had up there was marked by one of the nastiest crack-ups in recent memory.
I recall that 2nd Cr. is open for kart testing on Wednsdays. Last SKUSA race there was a 250CC Superkart/FE kart there testing. Incredible kart. So fast. So cool.
Haven’t heard anything about new track construction in the works at Bandimere.

IMI = I like IMI. Long, fast, fun, smooth(er), lots o’ run off of the most part, dirt road to get there is a PIA,
Bandi = very bumpy, too busy (chicane after chicane…makes your head spin), candy canes eat equipment
How does CRE compare??
Grand Junction?
Any one drive Second Creek in their Karts? I love this track in my car, both directions. Thoughts?
Did I hear info that Bandi is building a second track?

ParticipantGJ is the best track we have ever run.

InactiveGJ is the best track: very wide; elevation changes; large run-offs; fast; nice rumble strips.
IMI: I like it my home track; fast; what I don’t like is some of the run off sections are to close to other parts of the track.
CRE: some parts are not wide enough to my liking; elevation changes, fast in parts; the big downside for me is it is a 2 1/4 hr drive for me and it is out in no where.
Bandi: sorry JB; too narrow and bumpy; nice pit space
See ya Sunday at IMI

InactiveI forgot the GJ drive is no big deal for me. My Mother-inlaw lives over there so we have a place to stay, make a vacation out of it and my wife can visit with her MOM.
Been over there about 3 times-great track.

ParticipantWe have a racetrack grinding company scheduled to grind and resurface much of the track at Bandimere , unfortunately it won’t get done untill late April .
For all you guys who are moaning and groaning about the roughness of Bandimere , I’ll take this opportunity to remind you that for the past 7 or 8 years “WE” have complained about IMI’s track !
It finally got done , at a VERY large expense I might add !
You know , it wouldn’t have ever gotten done without the racers support !
Better times are just around the corner , thanks , many thanks to all the racers who are supporting our efforts here at Bandimere !
By the way , The “candy canes” are supposed to give you a message
STAY OFF THEM !
It’ a proven fact that your lap times will improve if you avoid the red & whites !

ParticipantMoney does not grow on trees does it JB? You know you have waited to long to have your track ground when they name your bumps.
