If I want to run The SKUSA Pro Moto for Tag (May 22-23), do I have to be a member of SKUSA just for that one race?
If yes how much?

The SKUSA event at Grand Juntion does require SKUSA membership. I called SKUSA and asked them to consider a daily membership. My question for Colorado karters, how many of you would go to the PMT in GJ IF SKUSA allowed a daily membership for that event only?
As far as CRE goes, I think George switched to WKA.

InactiveI would attend the event if a one day pass is available to us.

ParticipantGuys, We are also running 4 SKUSA regionals in addition to the Pro Moto event this year. I know everyone has a bad taste in their mouth regarding SKUSA Mtn Region but I think with Joe and Don now in charge things will improve! Both of our CSC races will be piggybacked with a SKUSA regional.

InactiveI think a SKUSA membership is like $115-somebody confirm.
For one race plus entry that is way too much.
Race membership of $25 for a Colorado Outlaw.
I think you will find more racers coming from Colorado if allowed a one time race fee.
Maybe Joe/Don should consider just a race day membership fee anyways!

ParticipantRich, What would you think about say $60 for a one day? I will talk to SKUSA and see what they say.

InactiveStacy,
I would think you take the amount of SKUSA events in Colorado (5??) and divide $115 by 5 = $23 + $17 (add $) = $40/individual race event. This would be more expensive if you did 5 events x $40 = $200.
No other benefits (magazine/patch/etc) just race day privilages of racing.
This is a way of:
*bringing in racers in the state that can’t make all the SKUSA races
*want to experience racing with the top dogs
*seeing and racing your track
*spending money at your track 😀
*my wife visiting hr Mom while I race. 8)March 4, 2004 at 7:45 pm #46400Mike Jansen
ParticipantStacey,
Keep us posted on this development please. I’d love to make it to your track 3 times this year if SKUSA does something for the locals that don’t want to go to SKUSA races but would consider going to one in “our own backyard”
Thanks,
Mike Jansen

InactiveStacy,
I just thought, if I wanted to come over and race the SKUSA/TAG USA in the Tag Masters, who the heck do I register with:::
both associations???????????????
or just Tag USAIf I want to race what I plan on, I have to:
***Rotax Max challenge at CRE: register with Rotax
***Race at CRE in the Max Challenge: register with WKA
***Race at IMI in the club races: register with IMI club race series
***Race at GJ in the SKUSA/TAG USA regional race: register with TAG USA
***Race in the CSC an extra $10-15 per race: how much is it to race in the CSC; I have no problem here!
Man all these associations are drying me up; the above is ~$225; is this getting out of control?

ParticipantRich, Just come over here and sign up for he GJMS club races, the GJMS Rotax Max series and the SKUSA regional and Pro moto event and call it good 😀 Seriously, all you have to do is sign up for SKUSA Not TAG to run the SKUSA regional events and the Pro Moto. Would love to have you over, we are getting a good group of TAGs over here and should have some great racing.
