ParticipantI have had calls, emails and such from Utah, Oregon and California of drivers who are coming to Steamboat. Lets give them a warm Colorado welcome.

ParticipantI guess people will drive countless hours just to get it handed to them. Who ever does come, I am sure they will have a blast, and see some of the best scenery in the world. :loony:

ParticipantDoug,
Can you give us an idea about who you have had calls from and what classes? Also can you give a starting point for gearing for a moto 125 shifter?
Thanks,

ParticipantMost of the calls have been from the shifty types but a few tags and 4 cycles also. For gearing, you could go a little more gear than Bandi or go with IMI gears and use it as a 5 speed.

InactiveShould I continue with my search for an 11 tooth front sprocket, or will the 12 work ok?
Oh yeah, this is for the Rotax.

ParticipantStacey
Sorry Stacey, I keep forgeting that you are a Rotax dealer now. Do you have the nylon busings for the 11 tooth sprocket available seperately? I could use 1 or 2.

ParticipantDoug, yes we have bushings and also you will need the other washer that needs to be used with the 11tooth sprocket.. Anyone that needs Rotax parts for Steamboat please let us know and we will bring plenty..

InactiveYou HAVE to have an 11 tooth to be competitive at Steamboat….the same goes for CRE and Bandimere. You need to tune your rotax to pull to just under 14,000 RPM’s for all of the above tracks..this gave me the best results last year. You DON’T need your rotax to hit those RPM’s at IMI or GJMS, it’s counter productive. Make sure you get the bushing and washer that fit an 11tooth…you also need the correct tools and a piston stop to remove the clutch.
