InactiveHey guys looking for a little advice here to help with the learing curve.
I have a CR125 with an RS piston set up. IM looking for some tuning help.
The kart came from 3500′ altitude so I would expect it to be jetted rich right now.
What Im looking for is info on where to start to be in the ball park with jetting. The carb is a Kiehin 38mm and it is a pump around system though I dont think the pump around effects jetting.
The previous owner ran amsoil for the mix. He told me 25/1 is the right ratio?
Where are you all purchasing fuel and what should I be using?
What gear ratios will get me in the ballpark at Bandi, CRE and IMI?
Tire Pressures, help, I have no idea. The last class I drove in the SCCA used a toyo proxes and we were looking for 40 lbs hot. The last slick class I drove we were going out at 13-15 cold
Who would be the best source for spare rs pistons and rings?
My chassis is a 2000 Biesse who would be my best parts source?
One more thing the seat in this kart is big enough to fit Oprah in her pre diet days…okay maybe it’s not quite that big but it is an XL seat which is to big for me. Anyone out there have a used large or possibly a medium large they would like to swap or sell? Be gentle on price 8)
Thanks in advance for any and all responses. Now that I have the darn thing I need to find sometime to drive. Maybe a race after I get comfortable with the kart and a bit quicker than a moving pylon :jump
Thanks Guys!!
