ParticipantJB,
With all due and sincere respect, because I consider you guys freinds:
(And by the way it was Sir Francis Bacon that said that.)We have made the mistake of confusing knowledge with opinion. Therefor the more appropriate quote to have used would have been, “Opinions are like )#=@^%*, everybody has one”.
Before I respond to your post point by point I have a honest question that may explain both your new found “knowledge” and save me the time of having to respond at length because if you can’t trust the messenger it is difficult to trust the message, so here it is. Who and/or what is the source of this knowledge? If you can honestly answer that question, then I will take the time to make an honest reply. Thank you in advance.

Participant“We never should have allowed the ICC motors in this country in the shifter classes either ! ” :bs: :bang :bs: :rotate: :lame
Your killing me.
Sorry about that JB, but leave us folks who want to stay on top of the latest technologies out of this thread.
The Honda vs. Comer is a good topic for discussion, but 73 ICC entries in OK was pretty damn impressive. Plus, it’s going to be a long time before you see 70+ thumpers line up for a pro shifter race. Thanks,
See you in May!March 24, 2006 at 2:31 pm #53173larry toby
ParticipantJB and Brad,
I admire the stance you are taking to make participation in the lowest entry level class easier, more affordable and more fair. My family just got started in karting about a year ago and have enjoyed it immensely. However, it is very expensive. Our family spent over 20K for karting last year and will likely spend more than that this year and following years. It is refreshing to see an effort to bring cost down. Let me see, you are offering to:
– provide a complete engine package for under $500
– provide engines on race day for $0
– reduce maintenance cost
– keep kid racing more equal
Wow! What is there not to like? I?m going to buy one of those engine packages today! Now if only we could do that with all the other classes.

ParticipantI have 2 of the Honda50cc motors at Action kartng availible for rental for only $10.00 per day.
I am considering installing one of them on one of my rental chassis for the std. rental fee.
I think when you see this motor pkg , you will all like it.
Until then–
J.B.

InactiveJB,
You had the first ICC motor I saw running in the Shifter ranks in Colorado. And were promoting it Pretty Heavily at that time if I remember correctly. Don’t remember you promoting Honda at that instant.
Even mentioned some of your wins in that class, don’t think there were many other competitors then promoting ICC or running them.
Rick
