Sorry for a new post on Monaco but I can’t reply to any of the other posts. Must be something about this foreign IP. Anyway, here is an update.
Yesterday and early this morning a couple of unnamed engineers/tuners where proudly telling people in the pits that no Americans will finish the main in the top 20. Makes you wonder what, if any, involvement they had in suspected sabotage. Doesn?t matter. All five Americans finished in the top 20!
What an exciting race. Kyle kicked @ss! He started in the second row and used that deserved starting spot to stay up front through multiple lead changes in the early laps. Eventually he and the winner pulled a huge lead over third. AJ, who had been fast all weekend, bounced out of a few crashes to finish a solid 5th. Nate overcame additional water/fuel issues in the heat races to finish 11th. After another unavoidable crash in the first heat where Jesse ended up going over two karts that crashed in front of him, his battered and heavily bruised body had all but cried uncle. He continued to fight through the pain, however, and drove to a 12th place finish. Marco finished 19th. Some are eating crow tonight. Others are relishing in solid performances.
Kudos to all the American drivers, but especially to Kyle. He rocked.
Spectators lined the entire track several rows deep. It was another awesome day.

:woohoo
WOW! Way to go everyone! Especially Kyle and AJ! Very few drivers out there can say they finished in the top 5 at Monaco, regardless of the discipline. You guys beat Giorgio Pantano at his own game, and he’s got more than quite a few laps around Monaco…..in a Formula 1 car! Kyle, a podium? At Monaco? Simply amazing….Huge congratulations, you guys deserved it. That must have been one of the sweetest moments of your career by far…wish i could have seen it.
(stuff like this makes me get all…..patriotic :usa: )
