InactiveGuys,
One more time, GIVE THE KID A BREAK. There is nothing more disheartening than seeing a bunch of 20-30-40 or 50 something guys giving a young enthusiastic kid a hard time. 🙄 maybe there is a little self esteem problem with this bunch. :idn: Sheeeez, grow up a little.
If the BB is representative of what I will find at the tracks in the denver area then maybe I should sell my kart now.
I came to karting because it seemed like a good way to continue racing while I finished my degree. But with what I have read on the boards you guys jump on the first sign of weakness or perceived weakness or difference like a pack of rabid dogs.
Not the way I want to spend the few extra bucks I have. Less races driving scca and people that don’t point out every little thing they perceive as not right in their world sounds much better than this group.
Just about everyone on this board has given Scott greif about not making it out to the track . Once he does, nobody comes on and says anything about how nice it was to finally meet him, you just continue to slam.
If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say it.
This post is not for everyone, but there are definitely those that is does apply to. Get out of your pampers and the sand box and GROW UP.
Scott, as for you. Think about what you are going to say or do. The internet is a powerful place. Anything you say, post, or do on the web has the ability to come back and bite you. Temper your entusiasm and follow through with the things that you say. People will take your word to mean something. If you don’t put your money where your mouth is people will never take you seriously.

ParticipantScott,
Lil Bill put many of us in our place and thank you (bill) for that.
Since you don’t know me I love to kid around and i am big enough to recieve a ribbing too. Karting NEEDS new blood and I hope once you become a seasoned pilot like myself and others 8) that you too give back to the karting community because what comes around goes around.Hope to see you all with a slightly better attitude saturday and sunday at IMI.
By the way, I am taking first, who wants to see what my back looks like?

ParticipantStill havent heard from Rich. I know he’s nearing Las Vegas, however, when Rich sez there is a Scott, then there is a Scott.
Scott, don’t PM or IM me. I will wait to hear from Mr. Vito.
Little Billy, give us a break. There is more of a family feel in any pit, on any track and on any given Sunday within the karting community than any other form of motor sports in this state. You don’t need to reprimand anyone on this forum, or anyone who want’s to poke fun at Scott the friendly ghost.

ParticipantMike’s just been kidding around. He says he’s going to win this weekend and that proves he’s just joking.

Participantduooooooooooooo

I PM’d Dennis Garwood to find out where he got that hot fuel. Brad’s assured me that if I don’t lap the field then they won’t tech me and my Vega Whites…
Nor the milled intake on my carb….
:look
Rich is having the time of his life. Rumour has it (and it’s only a rumour) that he’s kicked out of Cheetah’s and on double secret probation at THE CRAZY HORSE TOO. But I wouldn’t know anything about that…

InactiveTo all on this forum, I know the difference between fun and giving a guy a hard time for real. Don’t sugar coat it and don’t insult the intelegence of those that visit here.
As I said in my first post it was not meant for all. If you go back through and look at the bashing Scott has received. There are a few that have been nothing but critical. Then when scott does come through he gets bashed again. I understand good natured ribbing and I understand someone being a jacka**
It is and was not my intent to make enemys. I was just speaking out for a young kid who has taken some shots for what it comes down to is his enthusiasim.

InactiveI agree. Enthusiasm and having a want to race should not be blasted, EVER. Racing at the any local level should be about fun, period. It seems like its more about who is winning local races.
