I spoke with Dave Gilmartin last night and was very sad to hear he has terminal prostrate cancer. For those of you who do not remember Dave, he was the original Action Karting track manager last year. He and his family moved to Las Vegas to seek employment, and warm weather. Dave has said he is going to beat this monster and live his life to the fullest.
Dave’s son Sean will be racing at both SOT, Fontana and SKUSA, Las Vegas in the next few weeks. If you happen to see them, wish them luck and if your a believer, say a prayer for them. They are good folks.
We sometimes get too wrapped up in this karting hobby to remember all the little things people have done to make our sport fun. Dave and Chuck hosted night racing under the lights at Bandi last year and those were the funnest times we had all year.
Enough of my thoughts. Just thought some of you who know the Gilmartins would like know what’s going on in their life.
    Thanks,
    Curt Kistler

It’s a tragity when bad things happen to good people. For those that don’t know him, Dave Gilmartin is one of those class guys who is good for karting. I will try and look him up in Vegas.
