InactiveMan a lot of good ideas on several threads.
So how do we develop those ideas into target goals, is the big question now.
Comments:
*George if you want to join the crowd you will have to make the phone call.
*Track owners don’t seem to want to be involved in organizing.
*So it is left to the racers: Racers have two choices:
#1: stay silent and go with what the owners decide for CSC & club racing
#2: meet-discuss-collaborate-develop goals-present to track owners and work with themRich Vito: now that I am employed at AMGEN and we have moved into our townhome I will start on getting back into racing, but it will take a while. Have to build a work bench, check my frame, mount a new seat, scale the kart, practice and by then the season will be over. So it will probably 2007 season. New phone # 303-827-3660.

ParticipantRich,
I looked in the “Book of Excuses” and your reasons were numbers 527, 682, 1003, 29 and 47.
You can do better than that!
PS Just because we don’t HEAR OR SEE everything that is happening doesn’t mean it’s not happening behind the scene…

ParticipantI propose the following:
One race at:
Grand Junction Motor Speedway
IMI Motorsports
Bandimere Speedway
The Track at Centenial
Greeley Grand PrixNO DROPS!
Then all the tracks Bid for the State Championship. We would all propose in writing what we are willing to offer (Cash, contingencies, Great Trophies etc) and submit it to the drivers for a vote) It could be a Huge event!! The only downside for us is that the drivers will lean towards the front range tracks because of the drive and the western slope and Utah group would have to do the majority of the traveling… Maybe 2 races at GJMS 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

ParticipantWhen is Miller Motorsports Park going to start clamoring for a place on the CSC schedule? If the Uthans (is that a word?) can make it all the way over here to the front range, could we make it to THE MONSTER sometime? (double points season finale?) I know, I know, too many races…and I am just putting forth another discussion point. HOWEVER, as a counterpoint to my rambling, if Centrix ever build the oft-rumored track near Longmont, maybe we’ll have ANOTHER world class facility to add to our considerable wealth of quality tracks in the area; thus making the trek to The Monster moot.
Do any rumors of the rumored Centrix track include rumblings of a kart track? I would hope that if they are to build another ‘world class facility’ that it would include a kick ass kart track.
Thoughts? Comments? (don’t flame me for the MMP suggestion)

ParticipantStacey,
Yes I know I am on the western side of the hill. But I think you have a great idea about a state chamnionship but I dont think you should have to bid it out. You will be going over the hill 4 times next year what would it hurt for the eastern slope racers to come over here twice. This year has faverd the eastern slope racers in the pocket book big time far as travleing. As you know we have lost a lot of CSC racers on this side of the hill because of that. Maybe this will help get them back. Remember how much money i told you i had to make go away and the CSC did not want it. There is still some left. The state chamnionship could see some very nice pay back to the racers if held in G.J.September 13, 2006 at 7:36 pm #54800Brad Linkus
ParticipantThe CSC series is the state championship, I see no reason to add another race. If we want to have decent club races we need to put a lid on the CSC events. Add a State championship race on top of the State championship races, Miller, CRE, and we are right back to where we are now.

ParticipantIf my english is correct let me see if I’ve got this right.
CSC stands for Colorado Sprint Championship. I’m not being arrogant but they choose to come here. I for one don’t elect to go Miller and after the flip flop on tire choices at the shootout I know I won’t be going there anytime soon.
Limit the amount of State races and Club racing will again flourish

Participantno worries, guys, i thought the CSC was a mountain states REGIONAL series (yes i know what the initials stand for). My mistake. Somebody should tell Reaction Karting that this is only a Colorado series.
Just helping a slow day go by with provocative postings, not to be confused with ‘trolling’. I do enjoy this repartee

InactiveStacey and Mike,
I posted a while back that the west slope should get 2 races, it might help get more west slope participants in the CSC.The races should be IMO
GJ
IMI
Bandi
The track
GJ
CRE???
No drops.
I have always wanted a drop or 2. My boys always seem to pick the race over the things that I think are more important.Leave the Greeley as a stand alone. Every body will show up anyways. Rock Island isn’t for points.

I wouldn’t count on anything from Centrix. They seem to be in a finacial pickle. They already have been dropped as sponsor for the Denver Grand Prix, they are facing lots of fraud lawsuits, they aren’t paying they’re bills, they’ve reduced employees from 1500 to 500. They are on the brink of bankruptcy. Or at least that’s what recent articles in the Denver Post have said.

InactiveKirk,
Not to stir up bad blood but the RK crew usually has at least one foot in their mouth. I am not personally attacking anybody and they will probably get offended but they know what I am talking about. If you want to know about anything going on at MMP just email Mitch or Preston since they are MMP.

InactiveMike: what do you know what is going on in the background? Yes there probably are things going on. Then you are aligning with suggestion #1-be quiet and wait for the announcements.
My kart is totally dismantled-I need a work bench to re-assemble. You just like to incite me, don’t you Mike?
Stacy: You bring up another good point to consider.
Kurt & Bruce: Yea near Longmont (Where?????) but Centrix is in trouble.
I like:
GJ
IMI
The track
GJ
CRE-George make that call
GGP

Inactive:idn: I’m confused, Craig? What exactly do you mean by that? Sorry, guys not to be to off topic here but I’m confused by a personal attack out of the blue.
On a side note, the Reaction Karting crew would obviously love to see a CSC race at MMP but we can see the natural conflict on travel etc. That being said without a race here we would still love the idea of a 5 race series as it would most likely enable us to compete in all the races. We have said this many times but I will say it again, we have had a blast at the CSC races we have been to this year and have met a lot of REALLY good people.
Craig, If you want to discuss any issues in person or over the phone I believe you have the shop number.

ParticipantRich:
Help me, help you… 8)
I’ve got a big enough garage, workbench, beer fridge and outdoor stereo to help you get your rig together we’ll just have to limit the beer consumption! You live in Longmont, I live in Longmont so it can happen!Yes, I love busting chops, anyone’s!
To clarify and show some sort of fairness I wouldn’t mind an extra CSC race at Grand Junction to try and equal out the amount of travelling the western slope racers currently have and the racers from Utah. I have nothing against those racers but let’s call the CSC what it really is; a club race on steriods and not a regional series. And I second the GGP being a demonstration or “one off” race since I’ll probably never attend as long as it’s Memorial Day weekend
