They should make the SSGP a non points race like Vegas. I like the SSGP and Byron Radcliff, but what else do they do to support the series. I would hate for the pro class championship be a participation championship.I personally could not have said it better myself. Skusa national is dead and anyone wanting to do nationals are probably going to have to do Stars. So if 5 or 6 of the drivers in Pro 125, and a few in 80 attend Infineon instead of Steamboat, then there goes the CSC championship.
Last year, several of the championships were already decided before Steamboat including 80jr. Several class champions did not race in Steamboat.
Out of respect to those of us who want to race nationally and to increase the kart count and competion, JB, Stacey and Brad wait until the national schedules are out before they make the CSC schedule. Why should this race be treated any differently than the others? Move it back a week, the chance of snow would probably be the same. I already know they can’t have it before Labor Day.

And what in the event, that this situation is not the case next season. Then that would put a damper on the CSC in my opinion. Look at the Ray’s, Kyle sealed the championship and they still raced in Steamboat a week before World Finals. Regardless of last year, we’re attempting to decide what should be done for next year. That is where a schduling conflict with the (at the moment) only major national series likely being attended by a majority of Colorado racers. I would bet the team who has won both CSC Pro 125 races will be at Stars. I also imagine that this years SSGP 80 winner will probably be at stars if their was a conflict between Infineon and Steamboat. We should give everyone the opportunity to not have to pick and choose between events in 2005.
I would like to see steamboat on another date my self just because in G.J. rock jam is on the 10th & 11th which is just like country jam. the hard part is that the week before will be rock island race, always on labor day week end. i guess we all have to determan what our priorities are and do the best we can do. :idn:
Rotax Grand Nationals are Sept 22-25, so if it is moved I would like to see it not conflict with this national event. Last year we had 7 racers at the Nationals and it looks like this year will be at least a couple more.
