Check w/ Brad up at IMI. He’s got a TIG welder and does very good work with it. Call ahead so he can block the time (he can be a busy guy).
I’ve owned 2 Golds (both Firefox 100 chassis) and never had a problem with struts breaking anywhere, and I ran Bandi a lot. I weigh a lot and would really pound the hell out of those struts. Also had to really stretch the struts to accomodate my………errrrrr……….robust frame. In fact, I never had any problems with my GOLDs that were manuf – related. Who told you they were weak?
