Cory, good question.
According to the regional rules, you could do that in a way.
The rules require that your tires used in competition are purchased and stamped by the series director.
Your tires can be from another race and used if you choose. The only problem is I can not sell stamped tires one at a time. I have to sell them as a set.
But you do not have to run them as a set. The only thing the rules require is once you qualify, your are stuck with the 4 tires you used in qualifying that day.
The next day or race you can use the same rears and put on the second set of fronts. But you would still have the two rears left.
However, it would eventually help with tire costs over a season.
Like the cadets on the MG Reds, I had some drivers race the entire season (7 races) on two sets of tires.
