What a day! It ended very well. We put a time down in the last session that should put us in the top 5. But we had to work our tails of to get there. The morning started with our primary kart’s motor not wanting to pull off the slow corners. That’s a killer here. We switched to the back up kart and it ran very good. So we switched motors to the primary kart and dropped a quick 2 seconds. But we were still 1 second off. There is a kid in our tent who sent quick time for the day so we knew were we needed to be.
We made a few more changes, plus, Greg is finally coming to grips with the track. In the last two sessions, Greg was really passing people. In fact, we didn’t get passed all day. By the end, we were passing 10 to 15 guys per session. We have a bit more to get from the kart and we think we know where to get it. I think we can get a bit more from Greg too.
Brian is doing very well. He’s still 3 seconds off but he dropped 3 seconds today! Before this is over, I’m sure he will do well.
