My son is a “new” racer and he seems to be holding his own right in the middle of the pack. He was lapped in the main race, but he was not confident that day because of the conditions and the drizzle was starting. If the new and slow racers are not welcome at the CSC, you would have maybe 3 or 4 Jr1 animals and maybe no k80’s. Is that what is good for Colorado karting?
It seems that Conner New had no problems with the slower traffice in the qualifying, heat or main race. I never saw it as a real problem until some drivers were impatient and tried to pass in the wrong places.
If the field was larger I probably would just stick to the club races (which would only be at IMI for his class) but after we bought the kart we were graciously invited by the rest of the class members to come and run in the CSC, so we did and he had a good time, and made some friends
So at what point would it be OK to run in the CSC, should there be a board that would review the resume and a vote to be in the CSC?
I guess I am not too happy seeing this post since this was Mr. Moore’s son’s first CSC race after looking back at the point standings, It doesn’t do much for the sport and gripe about kids who may be slower than some but having a good time racing and making friends…
