so do u think that the YHC’s are better for rotax’s at imi and bandi?

This is just my personal opinion, but the Red’s are easier to create a “balanced set up” because you don’t have the problem of the tires sticking to the track like the bridgestones do. The rubber compound formulated by the Italians at the Vega factory has a unique characteristic where it seems to shed any of the sticky compound after a warm-up lap or two.

The effect of quickly wearing down the rubber is that it frees up the chassis and you can slide through the corner. To win with this setup though, you really need to understand and execute what some refer to as a “braking effect”. This technique requires you to enter the corner with a very late braking point, but you need to be maybe 1 or 2 inches off the back bumper of you competitor, using his bumper as a type of “braking effect”. If you time it perfect, you can engage this “braking effect” at the lead karts turn in point, usually this will both slow you down and create a fairly wide opening to exit the corner.

Given that there are more turns, and thus more opportunities to take advantage of this technique at Bandimere, the Red’s would work better at there than IMI.
