As a PARTICIPANT, I am confused. Mr. Stacey Cook, except for International/Hwy TAG (Mr. Garwood made a good point on that issue), and some 4 cycle matters, I thought the rules had been published (Post-2004 CSC Rules – February 20, 2004). Additionally, some of the comments made on this subject, should not have been posted. As a participant, I agree with “Rodw” observations.
We don’t need another meeting JB – we need confirmation that the rules are as published. I made it half way to the meeting and had to turn back. I am not asking for another meeting.
It is my experience that an internet forum is not an appropriate place to have executive type discussions and decisions. Get on the phone and talk to each other. We have heard enough about what some participants would “like”, after the rules appeared to have been published. That is a good topic for next year’s meeting. Accusations and suggestions of improper motives can not be characterized as “discussions.”
It was CSC that got me to Bandy and Grand Junction. At each of those places, I ate your food, paid your fees, bought your equipment, stayed over night in local hotels, and enjoyed the racing.
What I expect is the track owners settle their differences, privately. Even if you ultimately disagree, as a participant, I want to see a united front in support of CSC, and a confirmation of the published rules, if that was what was decided at the meeting. For me, as a participant, that is important. Too many negative suggestions have been publicly tossed around. It has cast a dark cloud over CSC, and it doesn’t deserve it.
