I agree with a post earlier on getting more local participation in Steamboat. A celebrity race would be great to watch and would probably get more local participation ($).
I also wonder if we couldn’t do something with the Denver Grand Prix race….although I believe the race weekend fell on the same date as the RIGP which would be a tough choice for some.
Here are some numbers for George:
Average participation at CSC: 100
Average Participation at CRE: 35
so….if 2 races were held at CRE that would be approx. 200 racers there and you have to assume that 15 of the regulars at CRE would race in the CSC series for atleast 6 of the 7 remaining races at other tracks which would leave CRE with 20 for their normal race weekend. If you can follow the math, then that would leave basically a zero sum gain / loss for CRE. In my mind that’s not a bad proposition since George would gain recognition from karters and some probably would enjoy the track enough to run a few club events. In my mind there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
