ParticipantSaturday would be a good day for that. Sunday warmup is generally a quick session to make sure nothing falls off. < 10 laps

Under yellow flags as well! What’s up with that anyway?

I keep meaning to bring it up for discussion as well. I don’t recall the warmup “at speed” ever being a problem. There are not usually many karts that are actually breaking in, and the other drivers are aware of those that may be breaking in (and off the pace).
Discuss. Jim?

ParticipantHi there,
The “warm up sessions” are to make sure everything on you kart is working. All week, including Saturday is for practice. Sunday is race day. There are several people that show up Sunday morning, don’t practice and are going too fast for the groups of combined karts. The “at speed” is loosely enforced, mainly for the one or two that think it’s qualifying. It is not. A full round of “practice” takes up 1 1/2 hours to go thru the groups safely, as the races are run.Depending on entries, we may have a full round of “practice” due to the fact that we had to book several private parties Saturday, so there will be limited sessions in the afternoon. We tried to move them, but these were the only dates available for them. After racing Sunday, we have a film crew in filming a show for speed tv on the driver search, so that will take place right after the mains. Should be fun to watch!
The flaggers went a little overboard last race with the flags, but once again, any-day except race-day is great for practice!
See you at The Track!
Jim
