Great feedback, all points. Safety must be #1, ALWAYS. As a fellow Colorado Karter, in my humble opinion, this is the kind of feedback and/or lessons learned that can help improve all programs/series. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

    Respectfully,

Second, I would like to see an absolute elimination of any type of motorized vehicle except for karts being on a hot race track.

I wasn’t at the CSC race unfortunately, so can’t comment on it specifically.

However, as a general rule, IMO, this is an absolutely crucial safety procedure, and is non-negotiable for any karting event. We already know the potential consequences of allowing motorized vehicles to cross or operate near a kart track while the track is hot, and I think that everyone can agree that repeating the circumstances that allowed that tragedy to occur is not acceptable at any track or any event.

Agreed! Safety is the up most importance. I would like to add with the other vehicles that we include karts too. This means no driving in the pits and only in the “Hot” pit area. I am guilty of this and need to stop it as it is a safety concern if I drop concentration or someone else isn’t paying attention. I know it’s nice to drive your kart to your pits but you have a kart stand. Use it 😉 Besides your tires will stay cleaner.

The CKT works together with Track owners to provide a safe, competitive karting experience for our members on race day.
We welcome input from our members at our Board of Directors meetings the second Tuesday of each month, all of our members are welcome to attend. Mr. Fedler we are sharing your proposal with all Colorado Track owners please join us at our next board meeting June 13 to discuss their responses.
