We have a Chevy conversion van, one of the last of the old style (’94), and if you undo the rear door hinges I think we’re up to about 52″. I take the pods off and just scoot the rear wheels in on each side and it’s good to go. I’d say it’s better than a pickup, but not as nice as a dedicated trailer.
The ’96 and newer Chevy/GMCs have external hinges and go much wider. And they’re much nicer trucks too.
Karts are pretty low, about 2 feet tall.
