We have had our Rotax on the podium for each of the CSC events so far. After every main event, our engine has been torn down. We have cut the seal off it every time. Tech has the option to respect the seal or not respect it, it’s their call.
At the Grand Junction event, tech was going to respect the seal. I asked to be torn down and inspected because I was tired of hearing all the crap about our motors. We were asked to cut our seal at IMI this past weekend and we did.
As a service to all Rotax racers, if you are asked to cut your seal at any event here in Colorado that I or our shop attends, we will re-seal your motor in tech for the cost of the seal (less than $4.00). If you remove your motor from tech unsealed and then bring it in to the shop, regular rates apply. The bottom line is this, if we are at the race, call us into tech so we can reseal your motor at no charge (just parts if needed)
You do not need a seal for TagUSA rules.
