check the crank sensor at the bottom of the engine (REAR) the sensor is the one that makes the coil spark. No signal from the sensor=no spark.

Is the ground wire on the wiring harness attached on the engine side of the coil rubber mount. Do you have a ground wire that jumpers across the rubber isolation mount from the coil to the engine?

And if the ground is there. Take it apart and clean it up. You can also try to jump the breaker (on / off switch) and see if the switch may be giving you problems. Do not turn motor over without the plug wire attached to the plug, and the plug at least grounded uninterupted while checking for spark.

If that doesn’t work. take it to Doug.

    Gents,

Thanks fior the help. I did replace the wiring harness and the coil fired. Probably, the coil I thought was orginally bad is okay. Very hard to find the fault in the harness. I don’t think you want to zip tie the harness too tight to the frame. It’s like placing a chest on top of an electrical cord.

    See you out there someday.
