InactiveJim, is there anything a first timer to “the track” may need or bring? i.e. fuel, spare parts, consessions, anything for the pit area?

ParticipantDave,
Bring Food and Water (or other legal beverages). The Track is not far from a ton of food places, but you probably won’t want to drive away to get something.
Also, sunscreen :sun: Cool temps will provide quite a burn. Most of us bring tents but the shade you bring is what you get.

ParticipantBTW, given the new earlier Daylight Savings Time, starting the morning of the first race, that 6:00 am gates open time will be pre-dawn.
Plenty of sun at the end of the race day but the first test laps will be very cool

ParticipantThe Track has a fuel farm with both 93 and 98 (I believe). Of course it is racing fuel so it is about $8 / gal. But you will need to bring your own oil unless Jim has added that for this year.
There is not a shop with spare parts (nuts bolts etc.). However often SAC, Shockwave or other kart stores are there to help support drivers and you may be able to purchase some parts from them, or just bum something off of one of the other racers. People are pretty good about helping out if you need something.
But if you are concerned about specific parts make sure to bring it.

ParticipantRegretfully, I will not be attending the 1st event of this season.
Please don’t take my not be at the 1st event as an opportunity to think this is the way things are going to be.
Use this as a way to perfect the enjoyment we all get from karting and improve. In my abscence get to know MY RIGHT HAND MAN Mike and the crew there. They are there for your safety.
As I said at the Drivers meeting, myself and my crew have come up with some ways to make things SAFER.
If anyone has questions we can address them.Keep It Safe,
Ian

Same as the CSC race last year.
