InactiveBickering-no!
Just passionate people putting forth their views, trying to help newbies and novices and grow Colorado karting.
We are going through growing pains: love it or leave it!
A couple of years ago nobody said nothing and that is why Colorado karting has been such a secret. Now with bickering as you put it we have a relationship with Greeley, the CSC is on the national scene, we have some of the best pro and semi pro kart racers in the nation from Colorado, we have a new track, GJ and Stacy came on board with his track, 5 tracks in this state!, we have some former karters running star mazda series, BMW series, others on national kart teams, etc.
I for one race for the love of it and put politics 2nd. It seems you can’t and I agree you shouldn’t join our sport because for you bickering is #1.

Inactive:bs: RV-You totally miss the point there Bucky
Just read through the classifieds-Kart businesses and you will see what I mean.
I really appreciate your “open arm” attitude welcoming us to the sport.
What an Ambassador of karting you must bepassionate- maybe but proffesional or courteous- NOT
I used to be involved in short track racing and this kind of CRAP is the exact reason I left it then.
But I will state the point that if I want to watch a bunch of adults whine-yes- whine like 3 year olds when things dont go their way or a little stiffer competition comes their way than this is the place to be 😥
Glad to Leave It thanks to this type of attitude- And a response such as yours just confirms our decision as the correct one.
Thank you for your wisdom and insight into your world……………..

ParticipantSince you have left the sport why do you even bother to go on this forum? I wish we could settle disputes the old fashioned way, but you end up in jail or a lawsuit. I for one am happy when people share there views even if I disagree. Oh and if I disagree you WILL HEAR ABOUT IT!!! Sorry if you can’t handle it. Oh by the way I won’t just post my thoughts here. I am more than willing to discuss any of this in person. My son drives a comer 80 and a novice shifter kart, and im not hard to find.

InactiveOne of my employees was looking over my shoulder when I first read this post. Went and Googled hockey parents fighting, pretty interesting.
Haven’t notice any of the karters or track owners killing each other yet. Look’s like in hockey there might not be chance to laugh (& have beer) about it afterwards in some cases. Whether it’s parent’s or parent’s and coaches. On the ice maybe great sportsman, but parent’s / fan’s, maybe not.
Anyway, politic’s is in everything. Karting politic’s seem pretty superficial and at times very childish. Haven’t found too many things to get involved in that aren’t to a degree.
Sorry you decided not to race. Have been watching your post since you and your family got hokked with the rentals at Imi and figured you’d be out there.

Very much agreed there are poor representatives in every facet of the sporting world….
We have read this post to gain knowledge as to karting. And have learned by the actions and post’s of a few that organized racing is not our forte’But the interaction between a select few posters is enough to be a total turn off as to the organized aspect of the racing………….
I have seen a few instances of the very best that can be had to your sport………
Craig, when we were interested in pursuing this you were very helpful and basically led my son and I by the hand showing us this and that…………
Rick, you and I go waaaay back ……you have always been a good rep. of motor sports regardless of the type and your situation…
Doug, you are a wealth of knowledge……..But some of the bad is enough to dim the bright ones…………
Disagreement can be a positive thing and lead to good.I shall not argue that.
I’m simply stating that the back and forth rhetoric that occurs between a few cast’s a pall over the whole. Some of these are nothing more than petty badgering of each other, amongst those that should be ambassadors of your sport.
Don’t worry we will still check out this forum. Last I knew you didn’t have to be a racer to partake.
Sometimes the entertaintment value is pricelessCheers and good racing to you

InactiveWell, if it’s any consolation, when the racing start’s the B.S slow’s down. We’re just a bunch of frustrated racers.
Maybe come out and race with us. We experienced the same thing when we started. Thought some of the racers must be kinda jerk’s based on the forums. Got out racing with them and getting to know them, really can’t say I disslike any of those people now. I go back & re-read some of my own post’s and I sound like a d*&# head myself. I think a lot of us could say that!
Hate to see you go. The organized racing part of it is what it’s all about. Generally your spent when your done with race day! The climate will change when there’s more to keep you occupied.
Bring your kids out and let em learn about racing, preperation equalls results, politics and all the other parallels that they will face in life. Is it all pretty? No! But it’s life.
We used to go into the pits in Englewood after the races just to watch the fight’s (I kow old school) imagine if they would have had something like internet forums! Man they’d be rough. And I know children don’t race stock car’s but their kids would be on there. Anyway, you’ve made an investment, the racing is nothing like the forum’s. It’s fun.
Go back and read the most viewed post ever (I believe) on the Co Karter if you want some rear slingin style entertainment. What’s the old saying, “most sports use only one ball” Well this one takes two and sometimes they get in the way, even on the forums.

ParticipantAttitude = Attitude
Show me a sport that’s perfect and I’ve got land in Florida for sale…
It happens
Like previous posts say, when the season starts more than half the BS stops!
I LOVE my class. We beat each other’s brains out on the track and afterwards we exhibit sportsmanship to the other classes. Maybe there’s something to learn from that.Man, if you hate what’s going on here how do you stomach NASCAR, F1, IRL, CHAMP CARS???

InactiveI agree with Mike. Matt Kenseth told his spotter that he didn’t want a peep out of Kyle Busch after Kenseth punted him out of the way with his front bumper for a pass. 😥
The final score, Busch first, Kenseth third. Who peeped last?:peace
