    Spring has finally sprung and we are just two weeks away from our opening race of the 2012 season! We want to introduce our 2012 Race Sponsors and provide you with a checklist and reminder of general procedures so everyone will be set when the first green flag of the Colorado race season flies!

    Racer Checklist

    :co Have you applied for, or renewed your Rotax Membership? If not, go to http://www.gorotax.com. A Rotax Membership is required for all Rotax drivers.

    :co Have you applied for, or renewed your Track at Centennial License? If not, you can do this at http://www.thetrack.us. Driver and Mechanic licenses are required.

    :co Have you registered for Racing the Rockies Series? If not, this can be done online at http://www.thetrack.us. Series registration is required to accumulate season points.

    :co Tires will be included with your race registration (with the exception of Kid Kart Class)

    :co Kid Kart Class will use MOJO tires, Shell V-power 91 fuel, 89 gear, 150 lbs

    :co All Rotax classes will follow USRMC rules. Spec fuel/oil is Shell V-power 91/XPS

    :co Rotax racers, each race will count as a punch for the Grand Nationals and Pan Am Challenge.

    :co The shifter classes will follow the nationally-recognized motor rules for S2, S4, S5 classes; Spec fuel/oil is MS98/Maxima 927; Spec tire is MG yellow, but you may run MG white.

    :co The stock 4-stroke shifter class will use Shell V-power 91 fuel, and MG yellow tires. Weight = 425 lbs

    General Procedure Reminders/Updates

    1. All drivers must be signed in and paid prior to going on the track.
    2. During practice sessions, karts needing to be retrieved from the track will be picked up at the end of the session; drivers make sure you are in a safe spot and the kart is off the track while you are waiting to be picked up.
    3. If you need to walk on the track to look for parts, ask a staff member and they will let you know when it is clear to go and/or they will accompany you onto the track.
    4. Just a reminder that everyone must stay behind the red and blue line at all times.
    5. For the safety of everyone both on and off the track, and around the facility, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, motorized bikes/scooters, golf carts, footballs, basketballs, frisbees, etc. are not allowed at any time.
