Hello Everyone,
The clutch support ring that connects the three posts in my clutch keeps braking. This is the second one that has broke. The last one I put in lasted only one day. The posts are not bent at all and the three clutch weights/shoes seem to be in good shape as do the three springs. The clutch does not wobble or seem out of balance when it is running. I am mechanically competent so I am fairly sure I installed it correctly. Any thoughts? These can spin to 80,000 RPM right? 😉

I popped the drum off to find the little broken piece was wedged between a clutch shoe and the drum. Further investigation found that TWO of my clutch pins had broken.
It’s hard to see how your support plate is broken if the pins aren’t bent or starting to crack. Something’s putting a lot of force on the support plate while the clutch is spinning… Any off-track excursions that got some debris in there?

The little raised noob goes between the c-clips openning
I am not sure if I am explaining that correct-The shockwave boys know what I am trying to say.

I took the clutch apart again and found that one of the posts has now broken off. So I took out a loan and bought a new clutch+ starter gear combo. Thanks for your help.
