Now that the schedule and classes have been released, I need to hear from YOU the racer as what classes you plan on racing.
Obviously, with 16 classes, I cannot keep my end of the bargin of premium track time without combining simular SKUSA and Rotax classes.
What I need from you is, if there are any racers out ther considering running multiple classes, let me know. A PM or post here your plans on what you are running will be greatly appreciated.
The classes of most concern are TaG Senior, TaG Master, Rotax Senior, Rotax Master, DD2, DD2 Master. As it stands now, this is one class (scored seperatly) unless we have racers entering more than one of these classes or the kart count is to big for everyone to get a fair race.
Another concern is Mini Max and Cadet. Not that they will run together, but I want to make sure I do not schedule back to back any classes where a driver can not get a rest before they hit the track for the next race.
Please provide as much feedback as you can so we can start to put schedules together. Thanks in advance for your input,

What is the number of folks that would need to be in a class to run independent?
I was reviewing the Racing the Rockies results, and the difference between Rotax Masters class and Rotax Senior could cause back marker struggles for the Senior leaders. I’m wondering if this is a concern. From review, there is a 30 second time difference between 20 laps for Masters and Seniors. The DD2 and Seniors run similiar times.
I will likely be racing Rotax Masters or TAG masters at IMI, TTAC, and possibly GJMS.

I am planning on running my son Cody in both the Tag Cadet and Mini Max classes

I’ll be running one class (TAG Master). Undecided about an engine package at this time. We’ll miss the Miller race. Hope to make the rest.

How did we get so many classes? I understood this series would be Rotax and Shifters. Combining classes is not a good idea.

March 6, 2013 at 2:59 am #66218Brad LinkusParticipantThe reason there are so many classes is because they added the Rotax classes, DA? When did they ever say they were going to dump TAGS for Rotax?
March 6, 2013 at 2:38 pm #66219Eddy WyattParticipantIf it is Rotax or Spec Honda only, think that would knock a few out of the opportunity to run RMPKC series……
Seems to me having seen Leopards at GJMS, IMI and PPKRC the last few years, it would be good business to keep the Leopards minimun. We have a Leopard, however, was thinking about getting a PRD in Master, simply because I would only need to add about 5lbs to make weight. May not be all that fast, but at my age just to qualify and be in the field would be Great!!!! 😆
Hope that adding the Rotax classes doesn’t mean losing the TAG classes/engines from last season.
Respectfully,
Eddy
