InactiveSteve,
I asked this same question a least once and never received an answer, but from reading the Briggs Modified thread, I have inferred that the magical, mystical number is six from Angie’s post within that thread: @Angie MacEwen wrote:Just for the record. The CSC did not cancel the Briggs class. The sponsor for the class pulled out, and also many of the Briggs racers made it clear that they were not going to participate in the CSC. If six guys and/or gals send in their membership forms, then we will be more than happy to have a Briggs class…….. Sorry it came down to this, but we just can’t give special treatment to one class???
Even though the CSC numbers aren’t that high, there is still three weeks to go and hey, it could be worse you could be in the Junior 1 4cycle class with zero signed up and no sponsor! 😯

ParticipantMaybe next year, CSC could give $$ incentive to sign up early in order to get procrastinator’s like me to send it in? Or a $$ penelty for joining late.
If something cost the same today or next month, why would anyone pay in advance? I know it makes it better/easier for the orginization recieving the funds, yet the supporter is left with no incentive to join early.March 27, 2005 at 3:05 pm #50266Marc Elliott
ParticipantCheer up everyone, I am positive that every class that was big last year will be big this year. For most classes there are at least another 5-10 I can think of that are procrastinators. Show up at GJMS on the 17th and I am sure there will be plenty of people in each of the major classes. I bet TaG SR and SR Heavy will be the biggest, even though tag has very few signed up, most of the people who ran it last year will run it again this year. G1 is going to be Huge, tons of people haven’t signed up there yet as well. Pro ICC probably has another 10 or so recluses that will show up. It is going to be another huge year in Colorado.

ParticipantThanks Stacey.
On the bumper, this is the way our rule reads…Rear Bumper: The Wide rear bumpers that protect rear wheels is highly recommended for this year, and will be required for next year. The wide bumpers must cover minimum of half of the tire, but may not extend past the edge of the tire.
which can be found here–> http://www.coloradosprintchampionship.com/minimaxrules.htmBrad, you are right, we were going to require it this year, but instead are following the RMax Challenge rules, which make it optional until the Grand Nationals. It will be required next year.
As for the numbers in the class… Don, you are right, 6 is the minimum. If we have less than that, consideration will be made, based on what other class it could be combined with.
