SKUSA Class and Technical Rule Changes for 2014
Current engines: We are removing the following engines from our TaG program, effective immediately:
Motori 7
RotaxHow does this effect others participation in the RMPKC?
I will not be buying a new motor just to race in TAG Senior or Master this summer. Looks like if I decide to race the RMPKC it will be in the ROTAX class. My other option is moving to a shifter a year earlier then I was planning. I wanted one more season of racing and experience in TAG before moving to a shifter.

ParticipantI’ve been out of the TaG game for a while now, but I know that SKUSA has been trying to level the playing field, and has changed the weights of those two engines on a couple of occasions. Parity has been an issue with the TaG concept from its inception, and trying to level things with adjusting weight is never the magic bullet. Some engine packages are just stronger at one track than another.
Of course, it sucks for the Rotax and Motori owners, but the Rotax Max Challenge is a great series if you want to stick with that engine. And AFAIK, the RMPKC has the option to run Rotax classes so you can still race with them, just under RMax rules & Mojo tires.

ParticipantI am well aware of SKUSA trying to level the playing field.
I thought I remembered a lot of the drivers in the RMPKC last year running Rotax. Not sure how many of them have a Leopard or Rok or will switch. The driver turnout was already on the low side and if you eliminate those running Rotax will it even be worth showing up?
