So I noticed that all my catch cans are vented except the fuel catch can. I also keep getting air in my fuel line. So my question is. Should the fuel catch can be vented?

He’s the expert, use his experience…

No, not yet, but I did go through and purge the air out of it like you said. I will have to get a clear line soon so I can see what is going on. It seems fine when I am running, it is just on startup that there is an issue.

I’ve had the same problem from the day I got my Biland. I drain my carbs and reprime the system before I go out each time. I’ve had a huge bubble and haven’t really noticed that it causes a problem. I know it’s undesireable but I’ve been unable to solve the problem and I replace my fuel lines every 3-5 hours. Good luck and if you find a solution let me know!! Dave

August 16, 2007 at 6:16 pm #58995CameraCourageParticipantNew fuel line and filter are installed! I managed to purge every bit of air out of the line for now, we will see if it develops new bubbles though..
Now I just have to re-bleed the brakes, they were acting up a bit yesterday and I can see they definitely have air in the lines. I have to head back to IMI to pick up a bleeding kit.
Any tricks for bleeding from those of you with experience? I have bled car and bicycle disc brakes, but you never know if there is some sort of quirk with this stuff.I fried a coil yesterday too, which is a bit crappy, but we got it running and all is well. I also changed my first tire…which was an adventure. I am sure I will figure out the trick over time.
Brad, Bobby and Ron have been a great help and resource over at IMI. I am psyched to have their knowledge available for all my learning mishaps and to help iron out the gremlins.
Oh and Brad, turns out there is another coil in my box of goodies! I just have to find out if it is good or not.

I had the same problem with my tony kart each race or testing day, always with the same soft pedal , and yea… now is breaking excellent (ok ok better than before) the answer…. new master cylinders , why? I dont know, maybe the seals and rubbers….. maybe the brake fluid is old , the fact , I have not more bubbles inside of the brake’s lines… money expend no really bad around $100.00 now… I need new brake pads = is breaking a lot better and no bubbles.-Sergio Q.
Tag Master# 5August 26, 2007 at 8:10 am #58997CameraCourageParticipantMy brake issue was strange, I pulled everything apart and found some gaskets in backwards. I switched things around and everything feels pretty good now.
