ParticipantStacey,
I vote we add them in. I know of 9-12 over here that are out all the time.

ParticipantStacey,
Since I will be an old fart in a couple of weeks as karting goes I might as well look into the DD2 class next year. That is if i can find a kart that has a 1 year old carier for the back of the seat..

ParticipantStacey,
Another vote for a DD2 class!
Jim,
How hard would it be to organize and advertise a “DD2 Tuesday” lunchtime series??? I’m hoping that we can establish a weekly (or every other week) get together of the local DD2 karters for some test/tune and impromptu racing. Your thoughts???

ParticipantI drove one this last weekend in the shifter class and it is probably the most fun I have had in a kart in a long long time…. would love to get that class going… The Tues afternoon deal would be a little tough for us,unless it was OVER HERE

ParticipantHow does the DD2 fair against the new 4 strokes?
September 14, 2007 at 3:50 pm #59451larry toby
ParticipantBoth the DD2 and the new four strokes are rated at about 34hp. DD2 runs at less weight and has an extra gear so the advantage goes to them. If there were a four stroke light class (maybe around 360 pounds – hint, hint) than perhaps the two motors would be more comparable to each other. At the current weight of 400lbs the four strokes are more comparable with the Sr Tags (aprrox 32hp at 360 lbs).

ParticipantAs I’ve seen it so far the DD2s and the 4 cycles would make a great mix class in the CSC and put the seniors back on thier own. The 4 cycles have so much more top end then the tags that it made for some difficult racing at Grand Junction. The DD2s can actually keep up on the striahgt but pull just a touch harder out of the corners.
I think I’d be in to race DD2 in the CSC next year.

ParticipantExcellent way to demo the class! Good one Stacey. I hope everyone who has DD2’s and Tag4’s show up and help launch this for 2008.
Does this mean Cunningham will come out of retirement, again?
