ParticipantDennis, we are looking into this now. You say Rotax is 93 at 50:1, but TAG USA says 98 octane for all, castor oil, at manufacturer spec. Whether we spec the exact fuel and oil and ratio for the class and/or participant; or if we just say that TAGs can run 93 or 98 with RS7 or RC3, having only to declare what you are running, including ratio. Either way we will be able to successfully tech the fuel. We just have to look at the rules and make sure we satisfy the TAG USA agreement. Since the RMax Challenge specs a different fuel, I sure hope we will be able to allow for that. This will be settled sooner not later. We aren’t going to leave anything to argue about at the first race!
Thanks for the input.angie

ParticipantJust for the record, castor oil in a rotax invalidates the engine warranty (from the factory that is) so I do not think there should be any rules trying to promote that……

Participantstill undecided about racing the csc !!! it seems membership is pretty lite this year to warrant the expense. tag senior membership is really low without any familiar names, hmmm. i think blink will have a good day next week and good season this year!! a lot of that has to do with the fact he understands that this is not a yacht club and these are not regattas and most racers dont have unlimited resources. you hear all about the benefits ,but who really benefits? we race a BRIGGS, ROTAX and a stock CR125, a 95engine and ign. which i understand is to old for CSC so that leaves the just the ROTAX . speaking for myself and my clan i would like to thank blink for keeping options for all racers not just the alleged elite of this sport.IMI CLUB RACES RULE!!!!! InactiveElite? c’mon! I know all kinds of average folks with average old karts and budgets who race csc. I’m one of them. I’d like to thank blink also for havin a track , shop etc. AND for being an integral part of the CSC! When I raced exclusively at IMI, which I did for 2 or 3 years, It cost me just as much money due to the sheer # of races I had to make to stay in the points chase. I really am thankful for IMI, but whats this elite B.S. . Elitists typically need everything to go just their way for just their price, on exactly their schedule. ” I WON”T use a different tire, I WON”T be asked to travel. I WON”T follow a rule book unless it says ‘ aah go ahead, whatever you want’. All the briggs mod guys had to say is OK we’ll buy MGs instead of Dunlop and pay an extra 50 bucks one time. Instead we’ll travel down to CRE to “Mr Elitists'” track and buy another brand of tire and join WKA, who by the way, doesn’t offer a class specially fit for our local briggs mod rules either. Why? In case we’ve forgotten, Jed was a rich man. He could afford to race a shifter,AND a rotax, AND a blue wazoom. I spent MORE briggs racing than I have in 3 seasons of tag. One well known briggs man is making the switch to shifter this year due in part to the expense in constantly having to bolt a fresh grenade on to compete, or even finish for that matter. Brads club races are definetly very enjoyable. The track itself at CRE is definitely very cool, but the CSC is where the competition goes ( including sweet ol IMI). Maybe karting wouldn’t be so big , bad and ugly if more people would just go with the flow a little bit. TAG and the CSC have changed my karting hobby for the better. Thanks Brad, J.B., Stacey, Rusty, Angie and all. Keep up the good work, and don’t let the real elites get you down. A.J. Hathaway. :black

ParticipantWell AJ I like what you said,I was one of the briggs class but I was on the other side of the line. I sent my money in bought MG tires spent 1800.00 on a lawn mower engine all for nothing. Well I have moved on and will be running the tag class.
See you April 17th IN GJ, finaly my home track gets the first race.
