Participantpatience! I am working on it…. Only so many hours in the day.
Those TAG rules are in the SKUSA book, which can be downloaded from their site at…..
http://www.superkartsusa.com/downloads.asp
Also, members will get a hardcopy of the SKUSA rules, including a supplement of local option stuff for our region.
thanks,

InactiveCan a racer join the day of the event?
Joel 😕March 16, 2005 at 2:58 am #50104Angie MacEwen
ParticipantWell, it won’t be suggested. As a matter of fact, we will be encouraging preregistration for all of the events. We will have to have an idea in advance of the amount of spec fuel needed, and it will be very helpful to know what our class numbers are looking like.

InactiveIs that a yes or a no? :idn:

ParticipantYes. It would be much easier for all involved if you become a member in advance if you plan on racing the series. Pre registering for each event is going to be helpful, as well. Saves everyone time on race day.
thanks

InactiveI would like to get the paper work done early. With out rules, I do not know if I can have a legal kart ready to run. It has been awhile since the meeting. I thought that by going with skusa, that we would have a rule book, but it looks like we are getting the rules from other groups are we paying for the use of their rules? I have some safety items that have not been answered. I may wait and see how the first event goes off.

ParticipantThe Mini Max rules are going to mirror the Rotax Max Challenge rules, with very few changes – tires is the obvious. The large rear bumper will be required. What issues are you waiting out? What are the safety questions that have not been answered? Are they class specific or general procedure type of things?
SKUSA is providing us with a rulebook, it can be downloaded off of their site – and when you become a member you will get a copy. You will also get the additional book of rules unique to our region in a supplement, also provided by SKUSA. General race procedures are covered in the SKUSA book, technical details are there for all but three of the classes. SKUSA and the CSC are working together to make sure the others are written to fit what we have been running or want to run.
Hope that helps, sorry if I am not covering something you have asked about.

InactiveAngie, for those classes not listed on the SKUSA registration from, in particular kid karts and Junior 1, 4cycles does one just create their own box??

ParticipantYes, just write it in on the SKUSA form. Making a whole new form to add the other classes wasn’t done for this year.

InactiveI am not impressed with all or lack there of signer-uppers. Where are all the kart racers?
Of course the master leads the way, but not very many.

InactiveThe issue is that these races (correct me if i’m wrong) are not WKA sanctioned. Therefore, my points don’t count on a national level. SKUSA is pretty much dead as we know it. I couldn’t see myself putting in that kind of money with no real gain out of it, nationally speaking.

ParticipantLadies and Gentlemen:
I might bring to your attention that not everyone has an email address or have a computer. I know of several people who ARE going to race in the TAG Masters class (the class that the spectators love and want to see 20 lap mains for their money) but don’t write on this thread. What I am saying is that the membership/entries aren’t quite that accurate.
We’ll all see come April 17th eh?

ParticipantConsidering the fuel suppliers needs/demands, we should know the approximate totals for each class at least two weeks before the first race. I would suggest that the way fuel will be handled for each CSC race be spelled out, by those who are paid to do so, sooner than later so everyone can get over it before the first race.
It almost time to race!

ParticipantMike, If you know people that are going to race – please help them get the forms to join! I am adding names to “the list” when people send in their membership forms – not as they request to be added. So, this is official numbers, for now. I am sure that we are going to have many wanting to wait until the first event, but it is going to hurt the CSC by doing so. As Tom mentioned, we are going to have to prebuy our fuel – and make sure that we have enough. Big T needs two weeks, so that means not only should we be getting memberships… but very soon there will be an entry form for the first event.
Tom, you are right… we are working on the actual process for fuel distribution. It will be done soon, and then we will fill you in. Just know that we are working to streamline it, and make it as easy as possible on the racers. And on the fuel, you should be prepared to start off with a new, clean fuel jug to avoid any possible chance of contamination.

Please pass along to those that are doing fuel, that they will need to support different ratios, etc for all the different motors. And this should be per the manufacturers spec if there is one, ie:Rotax is 93 octane max and 50:1 ratio. I don’t know about all the other engines, but I bet there is a different spec for each engine package in TAG. So lets make sure that the fuel powers to be are educated up front and early so we are not arguing about this at the first race.
BTW, thanks for all the time your putting forth for the CSC. I for one appreciate it.
