Correct me if I’m wrong, but this weekends race will be not only a club race but also a Rmax series race?
And if so what rules will apply for the Mini Max…….
I understand Rmax rules are a spec gear, tires, and spec main jet.
Question : a. what will apply for the 6/24 race at IMI ( i.e. Club race, Rmax race. gear, main jet, etc)?
    b. If only running the club race will tires and gearing be as other club races?
My concern is the length of the straights, and the duration of the engines rpm’s at this point of the track will be when utilizing the spec gear(82/13?) and jet(152 or 155?).

Also where can I locate points for the Rmax series?

    Please advise………
    Thanks, Ron

The IMI race is like the other RMax races so far. They are club races with the RMax added to the program. The RMax classes will be run to RMax rules including fixed gear. It won’t hurt the mini engines one bit to run at max rpm as it is so far below what the engine is capable of it won’t hurt them.

After waht we ran a senior engine at in SoCal early this year, I have no doubt about how sturdy these engines are. We ran one at 14,000+ rpm for long periods of time (much longer straight that IMI) Temps were well over 100 and the engine was running at 205 deg F. It ran all day with no problems.

I think that everyone that has run the Mini Max qualifiers so far are RMax members. I believe it was discussed that for this class, since it is not mixed with other engine packages, they must use the RMax specs, even if you are not a member.

The points can be seen using the following link….
