It all boils down to one basic thing, what a persons priorities are.
Some people rather buy a $40,000 car when they only NEED a Kia to get around. Some may choose to purchase a custom tailored suit when a Men’s Warehouse will do.
Some choose to smoke ($5 to $10.00 a day!) Some like their six-pack after work ($6 to 8.00 a day)
Heck, in my travels to Colorado this year, I have seen people wearing boots that cost more than a case of tires!
We live in the United States of America, a country that allows a person to set their own priorities.
If a racer chooses to race against the best, that is their priority and they will make the sacrifices needed to achieve their goal. It might even be that they will change or adjust their priorities in order to reach that goal.
We live in this great country because we are FREE to make our own decisions and the freedom to make new decision to feed our priority!
BTW; A set on MG HZ (Reds) retail for $203.00 per set and will last an entire double race weekend on any cadet, mini, micro or what ever else you got in the line of a cadet level kart. (Is not the younger or structure to your club or series the cadets, the priority you are all concerned about?)
Bottom line, if your priority is to be your best, you will always try to find a way wether it be a new set of tires, chassis, motor, tuner, whatever. This holds true in any form of competition, especially motor-sports.
See ya at the SuperNats or Next year!
