Notwithstanding the fact that GJMS is Morgan’s favorite track/race, we decided to forego the trip last weekend. With the J1 class being split into 3 classes, it just wasn’t worth the effort and expense to race against … what… 2 other animals? Last year the class was alot more cohesive and you knew that there would be depth to the competition and a more even playing field. Now it is essentially 3 “playing fields” (mini, animal and comer) in the same race. To me, you combine that uneven class proliferation with 8-12 year olds and you have a formula for chaos and some pretty spectacular wrecks.

If we went to a single practice we would gain gobs of time and there would be plenty of time to split the classes.
