I know there are a lot of variables but, I really miss running the State Championship at the permanant tracks and deciding it at a temp track like Steamboat. What a treat. The late fall finish was a little risky, but if the number of races is reduced we could run there a little earlier in the season. But it was my favorite way to conclude a point championship series. Nuetral playing field for the battles to be decided. Kind of a mini vacation in a beautiful place with great racing and no home field advantage. True test of tuners and drivers, one of the things that attracts people to the “big” temp circuit races. Many temp circuits are points races and some of the best in my opinion. Plus it seems like the Utah and west slopers should be considered. We seem to have lost more numbers of west slope racers than east slope racers, The loss would be more of an impact if the Utah teams hadn’t started participating.

The GGP was probably our favorite race in Colorado last year (all were fun) and we would run that race again except this year we will be out of town. Also, the races scheduled on holidays thing. For me, I would seriously miss GJMS on July 4th. I personally think it is a big mistake changing that date, fireworks, golf, hanging with friends, a little extra time to travel etc… I don’t think you can compare the july 4th weekend to Memorial Day. Labor day, wouldn’t have a problem racing. But Memorial Day is a hard one. Last year is the first year I haven’t taken my Grandma to visit my Grandpa’s grave since the 80’s, graduations / weddings going on. Just seems like more of a family related weekend than any others, including Mothers Day. (I know, Indy 500) We understand the taking what is offered as far as dates go, but we are going to be victims of a schedule conflict this year ourselves. Hopefully, this date can be adjusted at some point.

Let Cre be a no points stand alone and see if it works then implement into series next year. Might bring a few So Co racers into the fold. From the Satelite photo’s looks like a great Tag track, shifter track, I don’t know. I know they had a Stars race there but it’s just an observation. We’d have to see. Sounds like most of the decisions have been made for the upcoming season by the track owners already anyway, as far as, where, how many and roughly when.

Garret, I’ll slap a couple of axles in, but remember you guys are the last ones to close your trailer door at night. Probably down there polishing. :idn:
