Let me attempt to assist you with your grandson problem.
1. Iowa is in tornado alley!
2. Iowa has miserable weather, very cold, very hot, way to humid!
3. Iowa has ticks, fleas, chiggers and millions of biting insects!
4. Iowa has only one cross country ski area that I know of and maybe one downhill ski area.
5. Grandpa doesn’t live in Iowa.
