I want to preface what I am going to write with the following:

Scott your enthusiasm is great

Mike, the Broncos should clean house starting with “the Genius” and “the Snake.” I have thought this Ever since Mike S. decided to bring on a proven inept NFL QB and trade Portis for Bailey in an attempt to disguise his lack of leadership with a young, up and coming star in the case of Portis. All I can say about Jake is that a QB is not someone who should “just makes sure he doesn’t lose the game with his poor play” as so many had said this year. A QB wins games and shoulders the burden. Lastley about the Broncos which I have supported since I think I was born, not only could they not beat the Steelers do any of you really think that they could have beaten the Colts?

Now to karting!

It always seems odd to me that so much wasted energy is put into the topics of what rules, what classes, the whole CRE and the CSC debate, agendas for the IMI yearly meeting, the cost of the membership $50 or $75 or $100, and how many races and where they are going to be held.

The one common factor is this, if you do not own a track you are simply one of the herd (myself included) waiting for direction. Does anyone outside of the choosen four (Brad, JB, Stacey, and Jim) really think they have any say. I have no resentment toward the four track owners they have invested lots of money and should reap the rewards.

In no specific order:

Example #1: The rules that will be in place for the ’06 CSC are being rewritten by guess who, a track owner. Good, bad, or otherwise do you really think Jim would include any clause or sub clause that would negatively impact his track? I for one do not care who writes the rules. I will accept them or play elsewhere.

Example #2: The number of races went from 7 with one drop to 9 with 2 drops. Where was the vote for this?? From what I can tell there wasn’t one. A new track owner came into the mix and two more races were added. I can not even contimplate why people are even surprised by this. The writing was on the wall last year. The only question was whether or not “The Track” was going to be built. If anyone has a problem with the 9 races don’t run for points and pick which ones you want to race. Enjoy yourself and don’t stress take it from me it is alot funner! Here is a good example of this, at the Steamboat race last fall I was given something like a $50 penalty for two missing lock nuts on weight that was on my seat. Since I wasn’t running for points and the racing was over I simply chose not to pay this and get a DQ. It did not seem to register to Dennis that I had my fun and in the end points for where I finished made no difference at all.

Example #3: The cost of the membership for the CSC was increased by $25 and no real reasoning for this was ever given. From what I can tell, it was made to seem as the membership was actually lowered but since SKUSA is no longer where is the extra money going. We already have a set of rules we paid for last year and are being re-written. Hopefully, the increase goes toward something that will benifit the CSC.

Last little tidbit and then I must go to work. Do not forget that the track owners rebuttal to all of this will come into play sometime and here it is. The track owners make more money with rental karts than on any given race day. If this is true, why increase the number of CSC races?
