I have always seen being in post race tech/tear down as a badge of honor.
We have found that once the racer understands that post race tech is likely they learn to expect it and be ready to get it done in a timely manor.
Just like anything else the tech staff having a plan for the race day (what classes and they want to look at) and changing it up week in and week out has proven effective.
