Just for the record. The CSC did not cancel the Briggs class. The sponsor for the class pulled out, and also many of the Briggs racers made it clear that they were not going to participate in the CSC. If six guys and/or gals send in their membership forms, then we will be more than happy to have a Briggs class. I did not post the rules and class details, because it seemed obvious that there were not going to be enough for a class, and I did not want someone showing up at the first race expecting there to be one. The CSC treated this class the same as all of the others, with all of the same benefits (except those two races), and all of the same requirements to be met. The decision was made to not give any exceptions on the spec tire – for many reason, the largest of which, it could void our agreement for getting kickback for SPEC tires. Sorry it came down to this, but we just can’t give special treatment to one class.
I don’t want to fight over this, it is silly… but Greg, don’t put this all on the CSC just because it didn’t give in.
