From what I have seen (and that’s not much!!) it is more than just a challenge to win with anything other than a Rotax at IMI. Also (correct me if I am wrong) the TAG senior series winner ran a combo of Rotax/Leopard depending on the track. I just think that this not inline with the TAG principle. The ONLY reason we switched from 125 pro to TAG halfway through the 2004 season was beacuse I just could not afford to run shifters competitivly. I think this was also the case with other people (Welch’s). If I now need to have 4 motors (1 race and 1 spare leopard and Rotax) to compete then we are back in same boat and will probably not race karts at all next year.
