Brad, how many senior class participants were at YOUR meeting? Did you mail out any flyers stating the date & purpose of the meeting, anything but listing the date on this web site? There are a lot of people that don’t do the Internet on a daily basis. And I’ll bet they did not know about the meeting. You have everyone?s name & addresses and could put out a simple mailer to inform them of the meeting and what is proposed. Here’s a novel idea have an absentee ballot for those who cannot attend! I choose not to go because the weather. Call me a puss if like, but I didn’t feel that the chance of an accident was not worth the benefits of the meeting. There are more people that didn?t attend for the same reason. The least you could do is accommodate the people that weren?t there by listening to them. I understand that this is serious business and you can?t afford to be flexible and accommodating. After all this is go-kart racing we are talking about!
You did not release/post the rules for over a week after the meeting, So that further delayed the response from people like myself.
There are a lot of senior drivers out here that do not know that MG yellows will not allowed, and will be pissed off to find out at the first race. Not to mention the novice drivers who seem to be absent from this site.
Look at the list of names that I contacted about the weight. Have you responded to that request? NO. If you don?t trust my poll, then contact them yourselves. I am positive you will come up with the same results.
Right after the Steamboat race I started a thread about the 2004 ideas & rules. Did anyone from the CSC say anything about the MG Yellows not going to be allowed? NO!
Matter of fact did any CSC bigwig say anything about 2004 proposed rules? NO! that led people to assume that the rules would be the same.
It seems that if you are not part of the CSC click then you are left out in the dark.
If you had 10 racers ask for a class that used a weed eater engine, one would be crated. Is this any different? We have a lot of seniors that want 395 lbs and MG yellow tires (or the same tire that SKUSA uses the YHB) why don?t you listen to them?
I?m sorry I won?t take up any more of your time.
