Too bad that SKUSA still has “target fixation” or maybe its “profit fixation” with Bridgestone tires. I don’t know why they don’t take a hint and allow tires by durometer, like the CSC or STARS! The simple fact is that there are faster, better, cheaper tires than ‘stones. In my opinion, Vega Whites or MG Greens are both far superior to the “B” compound Bridgestones. We ran all three last year, and the Bridgestones were the slowest, least consistent, least durable and most expensive (only “winning” category) of the three.
Oh yeah, while I’m on the subject, I think that the air box rule for motos is pure crap as well. Is the CSC going to require them on all races this year or only Grand Junction like 2003? It would be nice to know, so I can get a refund on the nice K&Ns I just ordered. 🙁
